  6. Every year we have a WebApp weekender.

Junior / middleweight web designer

We are looking for a passionate middleweight web designer (probably with 1-3 years commercial experience). A great sense of visual design and strong portfolio is a must. You'll probably have tons of experience with Photoshop or similar. An understanding of XHTML & CSS would be nice.

You won't just be concerned about making wonderful looking sites (though that is important). You will be concerned about how users interact, what motivates them to click and how they flow between pages. If you are inventive, humourous and communicative, so much the better.

You'll be enthused about web 2.0. You'll want to make websites that surpass the lead set by YouTube, Flickr and Bebo. You'll be working on innovative projects for clients such as Channel 4, BBC and MTV.

Mint's design sense is vitally important for the projects we plan to deliver. You'll be working closely with the creative team, helping to define and extend our design excellence. Mint's red hot development team will help turn your vision into smooth-functioning reality.

We offer a stimulating creative environment where your opinions count and you'll have the freedom to create great work.

An area of particular interest at Mint is cross-platform formats. Our big aim is to fuse the narrative of TV with the participation of the web to form a new type of cross-platform hit. You'll frequently brainstorm ideas concepts with Mint's TV production arm Menthol. A love of popular culture is a big plus.

You may be inspired by people like Clay Shirky or Tom Coates. Or perhaps you'll come from a totally different perspective (say gaming or product design or theatre production).

The ideal candidate will have:

That said, talent, enthusiasm, energy and ideas are the key requirements. Everything else is optional.
